At present, many outdoor LED display manufacturers have responded to the call of the World Energy Organization and considered the long-term development interests of the industry, and have launched more energy-saving and low-carbon outdoor LED display products. Compared with previous displays, many outdoor LED display manufacturers consume less power. Much improved. For outdoor LED displays, since the brightness of the surrounding environment changes greatly during the day and night, we can achieve energy saving and emission reduction by automatically adjusting the brightness of the outdoor LED display.

The realization of LED energy-saving display screen mainly starts from the power supply. Directly using half-bridge or full-bridge high-efficiency switching power supply on the existing LED display screen, coupled with synchronous rectification, the energy-saving effect is significant. Reduce the power supply voltage as much as possible under the constant current state of the driver IC, and achieve better energy-saving effects by separately supplying power to the red, green, and blue dies. Of course, the application cost of this non-standard voltage power supply and new technology will inevitably increase. From the perspective of the screen driver IC, the energy saving is not obvious. Reducing the constant current voltage difference of the driver will also bring new problems including cost. Some IC companies' promotion of energy-saving design is nothing more than a sales strategy.
